Volunteer Shifts
Welcome to Camp 3 Volunteer signup. Everyone who camps at Camp 3 is expected to volunteer for a minimum of 5 hours of service to our camp. These hours are aside from your regular ESD job. Sharing these responsibilities helps spread the workload of keeping our camp functioning and in tip top shape.
After Fire Camp registration has ended and everyone knows whether they got in (fingers crossed!), we will open the Volunteer Shift signup. Look for an email sometime in June.

Shower Czar
This job is the greatest bang for the buck, time wise. It's easy!

2. Open the door.
3. Wipe the floor.
4. Take lost/forgotten items to the lost/forgotten items table.
5. Check function, fresh water and grey water levels.
6. Receive mental thanks when your fellow campers step inside later in the day.
Volunteer Coordinator
This involves mostly oversight and a little cat herding. Ensure that volunteers arrive for their shifts. Finding lost volunteers may be a matter of knocking on a trailer door, a simple reminder, or very rarely some Matlock level sleuthing. In a pinch, recruit substitute volunteers. This role favors personas akin to schoolteacher-favorite aunt-best barkeeper.
Camp Sitter
Many people enjoy sitting in camp. But you sit with purpose. With a mission. You sit passionately. In this role, you hang around camp to receive vendors. Usually this is the RV servicing people or the food delivery. Gesture with your drink hand where vendors need to go. Or, you may have to recruit a quick chain gang to unload the food truck. Either way, it involves shade, adult bevvies, conversation with other ne’r-do-wells. (Must be sober enough to complete the mission)
