Dudes- we're getting real close! Ready for the womp womps and oomps oops that are the sound track of our silica breathing experiment? There are some things you need to know- there are parties in camp, and you may need outfits. Here's a run down of things to be excited about: Monday- Thursday 8/25-8/28 (ish)- COSTUME EXCHANGE in the Undome! Bring your lightly worn costumes looking for another home to share with campmates. Please make sure items are clean and costume-y (no old stained default world clothes!). Monday 8/25, 5 pm Meet the Virgins Happy Hour: Everyone is invited to come welcome our 1 and 2 year virgins to Fire Camp while sharing bubbly drinks and light snacks. Bring your best piece of survival advice and introduce yourself to our new campers. Raising the heart will follow happy hour Monday 8/25, 8pm to 11 pm ESD Logs Party!! Join us at the UnDome Monday night for a dope ass night from 8 PM to 11 PM! They will have delicious drinks and great accomplishment after working hard to build ESD from the dust up. Come give them high fives and celebrate! Bring a CUP yo! Tuesday 8/26, 9 pm till we can't anymore- Fear and Loathing in Black Rock City, Fire Camp Camp Party! Remember Christmas in the desert last year? There were drinks and wise men and germans? This year we are changing gears- be inspired by Hunter S. Thompson (queue outfit shopping). There will be fun and surprises and then more fun. Bring your best Acapulco shirt. See pic below for inspo. Wednesday 8/27, 4pm: ESD Awards! Don’t forget about our amazing Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday at 1600 hrs during event week. Hosted by our friends at Fire Camp, we will recognize those who have been with us for 5, 10, 15, 20, and yes even 30 years! We’ll have great snacks!!! Wednesday 8/27, 6-7 pm Toast to Travis and Trashfence This year we lost two beloved ESD campmates. Join us for Meh-garitas and more to toast in their memory. The celebration for Travis will continue from the Undome out to Temple. See pic below for more info. Thursday 8/28, 8 pm Disco Dance Wig Party- Everyone looks good in a wig, everyone can dance- so this is for you! Undome will be your place to grab a drink and shake off the dust looking fly. Friday 8/29, 8pm-ish Fire Show- Fire spinning by amazing Fire Campers and friends. There will be a DJ, it will be fantastic! Ongoing: Lorax on the Loose: Up for a dose of ridiculousness?! 10 of us (at least!)--mostly the Northwest contingent so far but we'd love more--will don magnificently orange Lorax suits and create a small rumpus. We plan to traipse the neighborhood, descend upon a favored camp, or bestow a little Lorax love on passersby in need of a laugh.
